This term I have made a map of our whole diorama to understand mapping. There are coordinates, the compass, scale and more. In my map I included coordinates, a compass and a scale we also had a key to know where everything is on my map, for example F7 was the stockade. We also made 3 pathways and we had to make directions to where we were going.

We have been scoring books for the book week.
A good information book has good pictures and good word choices so Like font cool words described words and more. My favourite book was make believe it was really nice and interesting for the reader so they will actually like the book other wise people will think that your book it trash then you won’t get paid money you will look like failure and your life will be bad

Sovereign hill camp was the best out of the other years. I learnt how to smelt the gold to pure gold and I have also learnt how to make raspberry drops and how to use a nib pen ext.. the button toy was really cool and the horse shoe throw they were fun to play with at lunch breaks. My favourite dinner was on the first night, we ate chicken schnitzel with gravy and vegetables, for dessert we had chocolate pudding it was alright. My favourite breakfast was the last breakfast on the 3rd day it was Bacon, eggs, toast and hashbrowns which was really yummy I really enjoyed it. We also pretended that we were kids from the 1850s. We had to dress up in Knickerbocker as button shirt woollen jumper and a Flopsy cap, we had to go to the school and we got to use which where really watery. Patric and I went into the steam room and we watched the big whistle go off and is was really loud. On the day that we went shopping mr. Benwell gave us our 25$ and then we had school from 9am to 3pm and after that we went to the the candy shop and I bought raspberry drops and lollie pops for my little sister. After the lollie shop we went to the candle store and I dipped my own candle and bought a normal one for my mum. After shopping we had one more hour so I watched how they made raspberry drops in mr Browns confectionery. The next day we got back into the uniforms and we went to school. At school that day we went to the blacksmith and the wheel right and after that we had a snack which was a cookie I loved them then we did some maths and we went gold panning and I found a peace of gold which was awesome and I got to keep it in a little jar I got for a dollar which is pretty cheap.on the first the bus trip was a pretty good ride it wasn’t to sick and I was sitting next to Harvey on the way there and on the way back I was sitting next to Ned that was funny. When he was sitting he was making me laugh so much. I loved the steam room I think that was a really cool experience because you can’t do much you could do now.
My favourite part of the festival was the basketball game because my buddy was having fun playing basketball with his friends on the basketball courts and after that we went to do badge making and then we did the treasure hunt and that was fun as well.

In this update we will be telling you about what we have been doing in the past five weeks. So the first thing that has been happening is the work in the art space work in the art space has been awesome we have made many of the ball and string and have been painting the jars to put the orbeez into.
Year 5 is the best year in school because you get 2 camps and we get to take our school iPads home with us and we have got a teacher that is on tv sometimes witch is awesome. I would like to start being more organised when I come in in the morning and making shore all my homework is done. I have learnt the lattice method for multiplication tasks and the bus stop method for division tasks. We also have like half the class full of new people we also have aps witch is the best and by the way you get one day on one week B and then 2 every week A, for aps if you are in 5B or 5Q then you do rock climbing first at north walls. There is also the choir and band witch is awesome as well. We have camps at sovereign hill and at toonalook witch my brother said is the best camp because you do 3 camps on toona.
I really enjoy reading the mystery books and my favourite book I have read this year is skulduggery Pleasant.
